The questions we are asked most about Canada's clean energy build-out.

Capacity, manufacturing specifications, EPC delivery, compliance, and how each audience engages with the platform. For anything not covered here, the Energy Concierge is available on every page.

    Projects and capacity

The Chatham-Kent campus, what is being built, and at what scale.

What is Canadian Energies building in Chatham-Kent, Ontario?

Canadian Energies is developing a 10 GW integrated clean energy campus in the Chatham-Kent Special Economic Zone. The campus combines 3 GW of solar module manufacturing, 5 GW of battery energy storage (BESS) capacity, and 2 GW of battery cell manufacturing, supported by an in-house EPC capability that delivers the projects those factories supply.

    Explore the platform

What does the 10 GW total campus capacity actually consist of?

The 10 GW figure is the sum of the four platforms: 3 GW of annual solar module manufacturing, 5 GW of battery energy storage systems, and 2 GW of battery cell manufacturing, all delivered through Canadian Energies EPC.

Why Chatham-Kent for a gigafactory campus?

Chatham-Kent sits inside an Ontario Special Economic Zone with available industrial land, transmission access, proximity to the Windsor-Detroit corridor and the US Midwest, and a regional workforce already skilled in advanced manufacturing. That combination is what makes a single integrated campus, rather than scattered plants, possible.

    Why Canada, why now

How many jobs will the project create?

The campus is expected to create more than 2,500 direct skilled jobs and a comparable number of indirect jobs across Ontario, spanning advanced manufacturing, engineering, construction, and long-term operations and maintenance.

    Manufacturing and products

Modules, storage systems, inverters, EV charging, and monitoring.

What solar modules does Canadian Energies manufacture?

The Ontario facility is configured for bifacial N-type modules in the 605 to 650 Wp output range, backed by a 25-year linear performance warranty. Modules produced there qualify as North American origin under CUSMA.

    Solar panel specifications

What battery storage systems do you offer?

Canadian Energies supplies utility-scale BESS blocks from roughly 20 MW to 500 MW with 2 to 8 hour duration options, plus containerised and hybrid energy storage systems for commercial and industrial sites. Systems are integrated in Canada.

What else is in the product portfolio?

Beyond modules and storage, the portfolio covers string and central inverters, hybrid energy storage systems, EV charging hardware, and a monitoring and asset-performance platform, so a project can be sourced from one counterparty.

    Full product portfolio

Are your products CUSMA compliant and free of FEOC exposure?

Yes. Ontario-manufactured modules qualify as North American origin under CUSMA and satisfy Canadian and US domestic-content requirements. Supply-chain sovereignty and FEOC screening are a core part of how the platform is structured.

    Supply chain sovereignty

    EPC and delivery

How projects get engineered, procured, built, and operated.

Does Canadian Energies build projects, or only supply equipment?

Both. Canadian Energies delivers turnkey engineering, procurement, and construction, including grid studies, permitting support, construction, commissioning, and post-COD operations and maintenance, using equipment from its own manufacturing base.

    EPC capability

What is a typical utility-scale delivery timeline?

Utility BESS projects generally run 18 to 30 months from executed EPC contract to commercial operation, driven mainly by interconnection queue position and site permitting rather than equipment lead time.

    For utilities

Which markets do you operate in?

The platform is Canadian-anchored and North American in reach, with a coordinated approach across IESO in Ontario and the neighbouring US markets including PJM, MISO, and NYISO.

    Investment and capital

How institutional investors engage with the platform.

How can an institutional investor engage with Canadian Energies?

Institutional investors start at Investor Relations, where the core platform metrics are published, and request access to the secure data room. Access is granted by the deal team after review, and the data room opens only when the team enables it.

    Investor Relations

How do I get access to the data room?

Submit a request through the data room access page with your organisation and mandate. The deal team reviews each request, and approved users sign an NDA before documents are released. The concierge cannot grant access or describe document contents.

    Request data room access

Do you publish returns, valuations, or project timelines?

No. Return profiles, valuations, and project-level timelines are shared only with qualified counterparties through the data room under NDA. Nothing of that nature is published on the public site.

    Land, government, and partnerships

Bringing a site, a policy mandate, or a partnership to the platform.

I own land near transmission. How do I bring a site to Canadian Energies?

Send the parcel location, approximate acreage, and distance to the nearest transmission or distribution line through the contact form. The origination team screens sites for interconnection potential and responds with next steps.

    For landowners

How does Canadian Energies work with government?

The platform aligns with domestic-content, grid-resilience, and industrial-strategy objectives at municipal, provincial, and federal levels, and works with agencies on siting, workforce development, and manufacturing investment.

    For government

    Who are your partners?

Canadian Energies works alongside Arab Energies, plus engineering, equipment, and capital partners across North America and the Gulf.
