Supply Chain Sovereignty for North America's Energy Transition

A 10 GW domestic solar module manufacturing facility ends North America's dependence on offshore supply, creating resilience that no tariff, shipping crisis, or geopolitical shock can disrupt.

    The Story

You can't decarbonize a continent on someone else's supply chain.

More than 80% of solar modules deployed in North America today are imported. Every gigawatt installed is a gigawatt of exposure, to tariffs, shipping disruption, currency swings, and the political priorities of governments that do not share Canada's climate or industrial agenda.

Canadian Energies is building the manufacturing backbone the energy transition actually needs: a fully integrated, 10 GW domestic solar module facility designed to serve Canadian utilities, U.S. IPPs, and grid operators across the continent.

This is sovereignty as infrastructure, modules engineered, assembled, tested, and shipped from Canadian soil, under Canadian standards, with traceable inputs and a workforce that stays in the country.

    How We Deliver

    The Process

    01

    Site & Permitting

Brownfield-ready industrial sites in Ontario with grid, water, and rail access already secured.

    02

    Tier-1 Equipment

Best-in-class TOPCon and HJT lines procured from proven suppliers under long-term service agreements.

    03

    Workforce Build

Partnership with Ontario colleges to train 2,500+ direct manufacturing roles ahead of commissioning.

    04

    Offtake & Scale

Multi-year supply agreements with Canadian utilities and U.S. developers underpin Phase 1 economics.

    Why It Matters

    Proof Points

    • Onshoring eliminates tariff exposure under evolving U.S. Section 201 and 301 policy regimes.
    • Shortens module lead times from 16+ weeks (offshore) to under 4 weeks for North American buyers.
    • Canadian content qualifies projects for provincial procurement preferences and federal clean energy programs.
    • Reduces embodied carbon by an estimated 35-45% versus equivalent imported modules.
