    Common questions

    What landowners usually ask.

What is the typical payment structure?

A small annual option payment during development (usually 3 to 5 years), followed by the full lease rate at COD, escalated annually for a 20 to 40 year term.

Can I keep farming the land?

For elevated racking and access corridors, limited agrivoltaic uses can continue. BESS and substation footprints are fenced and off-limits during operation.

Who pays for studies and permitting?

Canadian Energies funds all environmental, cultural, geotechnical, and interconnect studies. There is no cost to the landowner.
