Toronto, Ontario. Canadian Sustainable Energies Ltd. (Canadian Energies) is issuing the following clarification regarding its proposed integrated manufacturing facility in Chatham-Kent, Ontario.
Clarification on Project Scope
We understand that there has been considerable misunderstanding and speculation that the project proposed by Canadian Energies includes the creation of a data centre. We would like to be absolutely clear that a data centre is not part of the plan for our significant investment in Chatham-Kent.
While some of the products that we expect to manufacture at the Chatham-Kent facility may be used to support and power data centres elsewhere, our Chatham-Kent facility will not be a data centre. It is expected to be a major Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) manufacturing facility and will also house the production of other clean energy components, including solar modules.
Community Engagement
We recognize the strong interest in the project and understand that residents have questions about what is being proposed. We want to ensure the community of Chatham-Kent has accurate information about this significant venture. Canadian Energies plans to hold a media event in Chatham-Kent in the coming weeks to share more information.
We look forward to discussing the opportunities this development could create and the many potential economic benefits for the community of Chatham-Kent.
